But, many men wonder if they ever masturbate too much. They may think that ten times a week is too much, or that five times a week is too much. But all of these thoughts and assumptions are not true; There is no ‘too much’ when it comes to masturbation. If your job suffers…

You probably have a problem. Not only that, but if masturbation interferes with your life in general, you probably have a problem.

For example, if you’re in the bathroom and late to a meeting because you have to jerk off, or if you’re staying home on a Friday night to masturbate instead of going out with friends, your solo sex life has become a huge issue. Interference with your social life or your occupation can be a huge warning sign to lay off the jack off. Adjust your routine accordingly.

If your sex life suffers…

You probably have a problem. This happens when guys have one of the two below, or both of the two below:

When sex with their partner cannot give them what they want, their sex life tends to suffer and sometimes even dwindle away. Why is this? Because men can’t recreate the same type of pleasure and satisfaction with their partner as they can when they are alone masturbating.

Scientifically speaking, if you watch the same porn and use the same hand movements while masturbating each time, you’re programming your body to only ejaculate when those circumstances are under way. Your brain and your body will only want that to take place, and will not orgasm if under any other condition. If you think about porn more than half of the time, there’s a serious issue that needs to be addressed, and it needs to be addressed soon. If you are distracted easily from your everyday life by thinking about masturbation, there needs to be immediate changes in your daily routine, and you have to snap out of your dependence to always need solo sex time.

But please, just keep in mind that if you do masturbate, it’s not an issue as long as it does not interfere with the four instances provided above. Masturbation is actually quite healthy, as long as your life is not being affected by it in an extreme manner. Remember, sex is not everything (even though it may seem that way sometimes).

But, if you do have a severe problem, I suggest you do one of the following:

  2. Make sure you set limits for yourself each day, for example, only being allowed to masturbate at night
